SSA and IBM are joining up to release SSA LN pre-loaded on a IBM BladeCentre running on Linux aimed at the SME market.
The SME market is a bit lite on IT resources bearing in mind SSA LN has strong functionality but is incredible inflexible how long will it be before the SME owner has to call in SSA to customize his ERP system and most probably doubling the cost .Plus the IBM/SSA LN package will have integration connectivity with Websphere and DB2 which are hardly PC world packages.
Workday is going to be released next month focusing on the HR market. Dave is creating a new way to organize HR data delivered through the web using SOA.
Workday will focus on building a set of HR applications to handle such tasks as employee hiring, succession planning and multinational capabilities. The next stage Workday will add financial and supply-chain applications.
Netsuite an online business service provider aimed at the SMB sector has just released Version 11 which has bundled with it AJAX which will allow users to modify what information they want to receive on a thin client up until now that has always been an issue with hosted packages.
